002, 003, 004
I had to abandon The Great Gatsby because my semester reading crept up on me. Last night I finally finished Bastard out of Carolina by Dorothy Allison, and ten minutes ago I finished Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy. I'm going to go start The Road now because I have to finish it by tonight.

Assuming you don't commit suicide after reading TWO Cormac McCarthy books in a row, try something lighter next. I suggest "108th Street" by T David Lee, a funny tale of kids growing up in the 1950s, when the apocalypse was still off in the future, not behind, as it is in "The Road". Lighten up!
